Education Requirements
- Vocational school (e.g., safety, construction, or industrial fields)
- Occupational safety card
- Hot work card
- Driver's license
- Experience/training in fire and rescue is considered an advantage
- Recommendation: Basic rescue course
- Recommendation: First aid (EA1)
Work Experience
- Has worked in roles relevant to their training.
- Has demonstrated responsibility and initiative as a worker.
Language Skills
- Excellent Finnish (spoken/written)
- Satisfactory English (minimum, basic level)
- Other language skills are considered an advantage.
Job Description
- Works as a fire watcher, supervisor, or hole watcher at the worker level and collaborates with fire workers/tank workers.
- Is proficient in using firefighting and rescue tools, meters, and devices for fire watching and monitoring, as well as materials and liquids used in fire protection.
- Implements the protection levels specified in the hot work permit and follows occupational safety guidelines, including general cleanliness and order.
- Monitors the fire workers' adherence to safety and fire safety practices and provides guidance when necessary.
- Supervises the safety of those working in tanks, maintains a log of the number of individuals inside, and is familiar with emergency procedures.
- Immediately performs first-response firefighting actions when a safety deviation is detected.
- Reports near-miss situations immediately following instructions and takes immediate action to eliminate/reduce risk.
- Follows the client's orders and instructions when moving through production areas and when interacting at worksites.
- Carries out and organizes other tasks related to occupational safety, fire watching, and protection as directed by the supervisor.
- Records working hours according to given instructions.
- Organizes and cleans the worksite after completion and sorts waste and debris according to the client's instructions.
